Not everyone gets to dream every night so when it started happening to me, I did the most logical thing I could think of, which was to start documenting the experience meticulously. After a period of doing this continually I started to realize that I’d taken on more of a role of a linguist than anything else. Our current models and understanding of dreams are rooted largely in the idea that they are reconfigured fragments of our daily lives mostly devoid of deeper meaning. This book is a bold refutation of that philosophy and a challenge to the current academic orthodoxy on the topic.
What if dreams aren’t nearly as random as we’ve been lead to believe? What if they are communicating in a subjective and metaphorical language we’ve almost all been programmed to not understand with our focus on objective literalism? In short, what if they are more poetry than science.
Whereas everyone tells you to pursue your dreams in a figurative sense, almost no one is going to tell you to hyper-focus on the detailed goings on of your sleep states. I sat through over a decade’s worth of church services and a degree’s worth of psychology lectures in my youth and no one mentioned a single thing about dream enhancing techniques, let alone striving to understand the great beyond that exists on the other side of our waking lives. And yet, something so obviously strange was going on there it became a topic I simply couldn’t ignore.
Whereas this book isn’t a tutorial in achieving deeper dream states, any good mystic will tell you that you can’t learn this stuff from other people or gurus, you have to learn it from the spirit world directly. That is what this book strives to do. By reading through my often lucid experiences in the other realms, the intent to this work is to subtly educate the reader as to the ins and outs of the telepathic language of the astral plane or what I like to call the freak dialect. The idea is that reading through a year’s cycle of highly curated dream communications will open doors in the minds of others on an almost hypnotic level.
