Protest with Witchcraft!

Ahhh, the manner by which synchronicity manifests itself into your life when you intentionally tread the path of a sorcerer. You toss around the idea of writing a think piece called “Protest with Witchcraft” for over a year, then finally decide to tackle it and just after you do an article appears on the site you’re writing it for about how street protests don’t work anymore. Then the day before you toss it up another appears about a new wave of witch hunters rising around the world. Of course, I write about this sychromystic high strangeness all the time on Facebook (friend me), and I haven’t even gotten to the oddest part yet. A week or so earlier I out of nowhere decided I needed to re-read A Separate Reality by Carlos Casteneda. I do have the cover tattooed on my right bicep, so I figured I might re-familiarize with what exactly that implies in a magickal context. Maybe I should have thought about that before going all in with the tat but the point is that the day before I planned on writing this I stumbled on a passage that perfectly encapsulates the prime directive sentiment I was trying to flesh out.

Carlos is telling Don Juan how he felt sorry for these street kids who were scavenging food from his fancy hotel, and Don Juan straight up laughed at him. What access to educational opportunities will these kids have Carlos argued? Don reminds him that most of the sorcerers he knows grew up in similar circumstances and it is no barrier to attaining true inner knowledge. All the money in the white man’s world ain’t gonna buy you dick in the higher realms and as KRS One once put it: “There’s no excuse when there’s a free library and you don’t go near it.” You think I read Casteneda as a psychology assignment in college? Errr, no. They don’t teach you the rich history of human visionary experience in traditional educational settings which is sort of the problem we find ourselves in. Bound by the hyper greed of a detached and obsessive asshole class. The 0.1 percent of the 1 percent get fatter and fatter, without ever explaining what the end game is in this suicidal batshit hoarding exercise— wholly consumed by a cold daemonic expansionary demiurge. But what’s odd is that they’re not even really the problem. There’s so few of them after all. The problem is that we envy them rather than laughing at their spiritual malaise. Does anyone truly wanna trade places with the Koch Brothers? Seems like some uber boring low level daemon crap work to me. Such one dimensional caricatures of bloated villainy. Lord only knows what sort of unholy sexual shenanigans those weirdoes get into but I’m sure it is unsavory.

The fact of the matter is that the 60’s counter culture somehow backfired and created the biggest bunch of hyper consumerists hypocrites in history. Granted, it was infiltrated and undermined by the war machine and that’s important to keep in mind, but it’s time to face the reality that all of our conventional protests throughout the years haven’t really amounted to dick. The war machine won. It’s bigger and more bloated than ever. Our political system failed. Seriously, it’s done and we’re currently in the process of waking up to that fact. As mentioned, wealth inequality is worse than ever, there’s a new war on women’s rights, private prisons are booming, and post 2008 crash, everyone other than white men are worse off financially in America. So I love how we solved that racism thing. Time to get passive for sure. You know what else didn’t work? Pretty much all the political punk records and vitriolic hip hop rants we went on. Nope, didn’t change much in the grand scheme of things.

If you’re wondering why, I’d say the former Occupy Wall Street head current Google brainwashing victim story sums it up fairly concisely. The problem is us. You can’t just stab at the symptoms without treating the disease. So long as we tune our inner realities into mass consumerism central, we’re fucked. As much as I was just trashing the baby boomers, I must say that I’ve known so many formerly radical thinking peers who’ve throughout the years just turned into prototypical preprogrammed consumer bots. Of course, what’s different about our generation than that of our parents it that a lot of the time our parents actually had the money to spend on this hollow bullshit. Most of the people I knew just ring it up on credit. That’s gonna end well for the economy. As long as we look up to and envy the excesses of our culture rather than transcending and mocking them, we’re doomed to failure.

You know what I’ve never understood? Why has there never been a mass demonstration of pleasure to offset a war? No, I mean seriously. Humorless asshole politicians declare a for profit war at our expense and we declare a massive acid fuckfest in retaliation. A hash based protest orgy could actually be a legal thing in parts of the country these days. With technology, we could film these super freaky protest rituals and beam them around the world to hack the psychic grid. They’d have to have amazing soundtracks. Then people wouldn’t know what to think about America. There’s nothing to say this sort of thing couldn’t turn a profit and conservative repressos would pay to tune in more than anyone which just ups the hilarity. We really need a new, non-dogmatic psychedelic based religion to arise as a political entity if for no other reason that it would be tax exempt. The squares have been far too involved in our lives for far too long at this point. We need to start punching back with absurdity. Maybe I’m mentioning this because last week while pulling out of a dream the phrase “an extreme absurdist counter culture” implanted itself into my thought space. The only means we have of transcending our cultural death trip is by abandoning the fundamental tenets of marketing language holding it together.

We need to get over the idea that buying useless crap is going to make us happy. Apparently the reason they’ve been beaming advertising into our skulls since we were kids had to do with the fact that it works. Keeps suckers in a trance. And as if in an odd loophole in the system, it just so happens that drugs are cheaper than ever and freaking everywhere. We need to use them to calculatedly to tune us out of the greed grid, and not that narco war funding poison. You know what I’m talking about. Information’s more widely available than ever. Art is exploding on the cheap. Sex? Free. Meditating? Free. Spending quality time with your dog? Cheap or free. Jesus didn’t give a fuck about imaginary mansions. He saw the absurdity of that dread house. Our spiritual ignorance is positively KILLING us right now.

The material realm as we’ve come to define it, isn’t the only game in town and here’s where I go off the rails. From what I’ve been shown in various trance state informational downloads over the last few years, what we see as us being a threat to our environment and each other, their macro perceptional assess see as a threat to the entire time grid holding us together. What’s going on from their perspective is like a disease that they’re trying to transmutate into something more positive and less terrifying. There is no pain on the other side after all. We’ve sucked too far away from this larger perspective and into darkness. We need to tune back into the strange. We’re being “forced to wake up” as they once so bluntly put it. Our world is like a parody to them, but it’s gotten too bleak. Too boring. Most importantly, we don’t have a freaking choice with this shift. It’s either sink or swim. We evolve to accept our higher nature or our show gets canceled. Too cynical. The hyper-dimensional overlords are losing interest and might scrap the entire project if we don’t quit being such dicks. Hey, this is just the narrative that’s downloaded itself into my inner reality. I don’t know what to make of it either, but it certainly makes practical sense.

What they’ve shown me specifically is that the pursuit of Psychedelic Occultism as a means of gnosis is a very “time safe activity”, which again adds up. Neither cultivating weed, meditating, fucking, or pursuing ritualistic pleasure in general is going to be much of a strain on the environment. Not like mega church war mongering anyway. Moreover, I was once also told that “the workers need to quit”, and that sentiment sums it all up fairly succinctly. When do we tell our daemonic profit gouging overlords that we’re stoned as hell and we’re not going to take it anymore! I traded in my second car for more time with my kids, some sour diesel and a bag of mushrooms. Whether you think extra dimensional witchcraft shit is coming from some schizophrenic malfunction in my brain or not, “they” once also informed me that if (and probably when) society collapses, it needs to be rebuilt with a focus on “friendship, and raising your kids.” Hard to argue with that good shit tripsters.
